You will come in out of the cold into a great court of assize given over to a judgment that never ends, all gavel-fall and old oak and a low listening dark, where every soul who feared to go unforgiven is tried at last, weighed and pardoned and discharged, and kept. There is a dock open and waiting, with your name already entered on the cause-list, and a bench, and a court that has learned your one wrong by heart. One reminder, with our compliments: the way out is real, and this time it asks whether you can walk away unforgiven, leave no verdict and no entry in the register, and go out into the cold street alive.
