You will come in out of the cold into a great railway terminus given over to an arrival that never ends, all steam and stopped clocks and a low waiting dark, where every soul who feared to come in un-awaited is met at last, welcomed and kept. There is a train at the platform with a seat kept warm and your name already up on the board, and a place held for you, and a station that has learned by heart the one homecoming you could not bear to miss. One reminder, with our compliments: the way out is real, and this time it asks whether you can walk away un-awaited, leave no place kept and no name on the board, and go out into the cold street alive.
